- A speech therapist discovered the man unresponsive the next morning and called an ambulance; Deputies said his injuries and condition were "significant contributing factors" to his death.
- Court documents allege Rog admitted she comprehended her husband's need for assistance but deliberately refused to provide it; she is held at the North Central Regional Jail with bond set at $75,000.
- The victim died on Aug. 31 at the hospital with diagnoses including heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, and rhabdomyolysis, according to records obtained by the Office and reported by WDTV.
