West Tyrone MLA Malíosa McHugh to step down from politics
Malíosa McHugh, Sinn Féin MLA for West Tyrone, has announced that he will step down from the Assembly on September 1 and will not contest the next Assembly election in May 2027.Mr McHugh said it had been an honour to represent the people of West Tyrone, first as a councillor for the Derg Ward and subsequently as an MLA, over the past 15 years.
