The number of West Nile virus cases in Greece has more than doubled in two weeks, the Greek health agency EODY said. By the end of July, 42 cases of the mosquito-borne virus had been recorded, and by August 12, 110 cases had been recorded. Nine people have died from the disease so far. Two cases were also recorded in Serbia last week.
