LFP plans to launch a tender for Ligue 1 broadcasting rights in the near future, and told AFP Olivier Bramly, managing director of LFP Media, the Ligue's commercial subsidiary, confirming information from LFP's newspaper L'Équipe.
In an interview with the AFP on Tuesday, LFP Media CEO Olivier Bramly considered Ligue 1+ to be "the life insurance of French football". While confirming the possible launch of a tender for Ligue 1.
As soon as it entered its second season, Ligue 1+ could already see the LFP preparing for the post-2029 season. The proceeding envisages a new tender for the rights of Ligue 1, without calling into question its home channel. The main objective is to regain a strong position against the broadcasters.
