Water by tanker: Sicily's fight against drought

In view of the ongoing drought, Sicily is using an Italian Navy tanker to supply parts of the island with drinking water. The naval vessel “Ticino” arrived at the port of the city of Licata in the south of the island on Friday. It started in the town of Augusta in the east of the island — on board: 1,200 cubic meters of drinking water for the region around Gela and Agrigento.
