Walnut Coding's Young Coders Serve as 'Instructors' at Huawei Cloud Developer Training Camp
Two Walnut Coding students built apps with Huawei Cloud CodeArts and explained their design, coding and debugging steps to camp participants.
On Thursday, July 23, 2026, Walnut Coding students Bolin Du, 8, and Peiqi Gao, 15, joined the instructor lineup at the Huawei Cloud Developer Training Camp, presenting working applications built with Huawei Cloud CodeArts.
The Company cites the pair as an example of how young learners combine coding fundamentals with AI tools; Du built an interactive calendar using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while Gao developed a travel-planning application.
Both students acted as instructors, presenting their technical builds and debugging processes to the audience, a professional environment Walnut Coding says required them to articulate reasoning and defend technical choices beyond classroom exercises.
Walnut Coding CEO Pengxuan Zeng stated that while AI generates code, it cannot replace human judgment. "AI can help children generate code faster, but it cannot decide for them," Zeng said.
The Company argues that understanding how to collaborate with intelligent tools is a durable skill for the AI-era, and plans to expand opportunities for students to build practical projects with industry platforms.
