Wales scored lowest of the four UK nations in maths, reading and science in PISA 2025, with maths falling significantly since 2022. The new Education Minister says the results are not where anyone wants them but promises no knee-jerk response, and the one claim the data genuinely backs is that nowhere in the UK does a better job for its most disadvantaged learners.
