Wagner Moura to Join Kristen Stewart in Flesh of the Gods
Wagner Moura replaces Oscar Isaac in the Panos Cosmatos film, which A24 has picked up for U.S. distribution.
- A24 has acquired U.S. distribution rights for the vampire thriller "Flesh of the Gods," starring Kristen Stewart and Wagner Moura opposite director Panos Cosmatos. Moura replaces Oscar Isaac in the lead role.
- Originally announced during the 2024 Cannes Market, the film follows a married couple in '80s Los Angeles. Written by Andrew Kevin Walker, it depicts a "glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence."
- Marking a return to the genre, this project represents Stewart's first vampire film since "Twilight." Adam McKay and Betsy Koch produce for HyperObject Industries, with Jonas Katzenstein and Maximillian Leo producing for augenschein Filmproduktion.
- Following his Academy Award-nominated performance in "The Secret Agent," Moura joins the cast. He previously won the Best Actor prize at Cannes and a Golden Globe for that same film.
- Moura is also set to star in Louis Leterrier's upcoming Netflix film alongside Greta Lee, as well as the drama "The Last Day" opposite Alicia Vikander. Both projects expand his post-award momentum.
