Volkswagen is considering selling the famous Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. The company is among around 600 companies and investments that Europe's largest carmaker is reviewing as part of a major restructuring. A decision has not yet been made, but a potential sale would also carry significant symbolic weight: the purchase of Ducati in 2012 was personally supported by long-time Volkswagen CEO Ferdinand Piech.
