Motorcycle rider killed in Fort Blackmore crash

A fatality was recorded in Scott County, Virginia after a motorcycle rider went over an embankment. A State Police report said Tyler Hite, 37, of Kingsport, was operating the cycle on Big Stoney Creek Road in Fort Blackmore in the vicinity of Methodist Camp Lane when the machine went off the road, down the hill, and then struck a tree. Hite was pronounced dead at the scene.
