Father Admits Filming Women at Night Through Their Windows
Police found hundreds of images and videos on his phone as officers seek more victims after the 26-count conviction.
On Tuesday, Anthony Durkan pleaded guilty to 19 voyeurism charges at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court, bringing his total offences to 26 after previously admitting to seven counts in March.
Islington police launched an investigation earlier this year after receiving reports of a man repeatedly attending a home to film through windows during the early hours of the morning.
A plainclothes officer arrested Durkan on March 25 after observing him approach a property; a subsequent phone review uncovered a hidden gallery "containing hundreds of images and videos of women."
Prosecutor Edward Kalber told the court that Durkan "poses a real risk to women and girls in our communities," adding he was "filming them in their private residences in various states of undress."
Detectives are working to identify additional victims, urging women in North London who "noticed unusual activity around their home, especially late at night or in the early hours of the morning" to come forward.
