Volunteers at Old Orchard Beach keep the shore sparkling on the fifth of July

Volunteers and beachgoers sorted debris left after July 4 festivities, and the Maine chapter said 25 people signed up in advance.

The Surfrider Foundation hosted its annual fifth of July cleanup at Old Orchard Beach on Sunday. Roughly 30 volunteers collected 86 pounds of leftover Fourth of July garbage buried in the sand.
