Auto Express reports that Volkswagen ID.3 drivers in the United Kingdom must now pay £16.50 ($22.32) per month to access the EV's full performance, totaling roughly £165 ($224) per year. A lifetime unlock option is also available for £649 ($880).Read Entire Article

In the UK, the Volkswagen ID.3 Pro sold to customers is deliberately braided in maximum power, just to require them to pay a little more in order to unlock a few more horses. And this temptation to want to keep equipment already loaded by the car behind a "paywall" makes us a little afraid.
