The Russian nuclear-powered cruiser Admiral Nakhimov has put to sea for the first time since the 1990s. The ship has undergone an exceptionally long and thorough modernization, or rather reconstruction. It is now undergoing very careful static trials.
The return of Admiral Nakhimov, a 28,000-ton cruiser belonging to the Kírov class, marks a milestone in Russian naval history. It should be noted that the ship had been waiting since 2013 to receive its nuclear reactors in order to advance its return to service. The transatlantic ship was decommissioned in 1997 and remained moored in the Severodvinsk shipyards for almost three decades, until it began its testing phase in the White Sea in August …
In Severodvinsk, the nuclear submarine cruiser K-572 “Perm” was released for the first time for factory running tests.
The first row of drones will turn the cruiser into scrap metal.
