The news was announced by the president of the HDZ Baška Voda municipal committee, Marko Lozić, who said that it was he who suggested that he return to the party.

Radić was elected mayor in the 2025 local elections as a candidate of the Independent Youth List and the SDP, defeating the then HDZ mayor Josko Roščić.
