Visa Launches Enhanced A2A Protect Innovations to Help Financial Institutions Stop Fraud Before Money Leaves Accounts

- On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Visa announced an enhanced version of Visa A2A Protect, introducing a new unified fraud score and marking the first in-market integration of Featurespace technology.
- Rapid growth in account-to-account payments, projected to surpass 5.8 trillion by 2028, creates significant fraud risks as Asia Pacific accounts for an estimated 67% of global annual scam losses.
- Visa A2A Protect has demonstrated the ability to increase fraud detection by up to 75% within six months of deployment, while reducing over 50% more fraud and cutting unnecessary alerts by over 40%.
