Veronica Leoni Leaves Calvin Klein After Two Years
Calvin Klein said Leoni helped revive Collection and delivered four runway seasons as sales fell 7% year over year in the second quarter.
On Thursday, Calvin Klein announced that creative director Veronica Leoni is departing after four seasons, with the brand confirming she will exit at the end of her current contract.
Leoni was appointed in May 2024 to revive the luxury Collection line, which had been dormant since Raf Simons departed in 2018, making her the first woman to lead the New York fashion house.
While early reviews were mixed, Leoni's final spring 2027 collection was called a "standout" for its elevated silhouette, and the brand recently achieved a 15.3 million score in social engagement during New York Fashion Week.
Global brand president David Savman stated the Collection "remains an important part of our brand" and its long-term strategy, though the company has not yet named a successor.
PVH CEO Stefan Larsson is overseeing a broader plan to modernize Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, aiming to make Collection the brand's "ultimate expression" despite industry challenges capturing 1990s minimalism today.
