Vermont legislature votes to approve John Rodgers as lieutenant governor

Rodgers was approved 158-18 by the legislature on the second day of the session in Montpelier, cementing his victory over Independent incumbent David Zuckerman.

The special election in the state Legislature was necessary because neither Rodgers, or Progressive/Democrat David Zuckerman, won a majority of votes in last fall’s race.
