Vat on Imported Electric Vehicles: How the Taxation in Ukraine Changed

In Ukraine, incentives to exempt electric vehicles from value-added tax (VAT) have been abolished, i.e. as of 1 January, the import and sale of electric cars will now be subject to 20 per cent of VAT, as recalled by the head of the tax committee of Daniel Hetmantsev, while market participants predict that this can stop sales of new electric vehicles and that the market itself will move to the secondary segment by almost 99 per cent.
