As the National Stadium framework is rapidly rising in Vilnius' Šeškinė neighborhood, it is not yet known who will manage the new facility, says the capital's mayor, Valdas Benkunskas. However, he hopes that the manager will prioritize football events over other types of events.
"I know that talks are taking place and numbers are being worked out, but I really don't know the details. When there is a decision from the concessionaire, we have agreed that it will be presented. So far, there is no such decision that a specific company or some group of them has agreed to become operators," V. Benkunskas told reporters on Thursday.
