USPS Will Release Barbie Stamps in 10 Different Career Outfits
The collection features 10 Barbie careers and uses a taller stamp format to fit the detailed designs, USPS said.
On July 11, the United States Postal Service will release a commemorative Barbie stamp collection at the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Austin, Texas.
Mattel introduced Barbie in 1959 as "The Original Teenage Fashion Model," and the doll has since become a global cultural icon representing more than 250 careers.
Collaborating with Mattel, USPS art director Ethel Kessler designed the set to showcase Barbie in 10 different professions using a format one-third taller than standard commemorative stamps.
The USPS designed the collection with "a spirit of fun," incorporating signature "Barbie Pink" to encourage fans to "dream big" and explore many possibilities.
As Forever stamps, these will remain valid for mailing First-Class letters regardless of future price changes, and customers can purchase the collection through The Postal Store.
