The demand for wood from some of the leading brands of U.S. RVs is driving deforestation in the Indonesian part of Borneo Island, home to Asia’s last large rainforest, according to a new research by environmental oenegeses. The recreational vehicle industry is currently the largest consumer of tropical wood in the United States, according to the report published on Tuesday by the British organization Earthsight and Indonesian Auriga Nusantara.
