US approves potential sale to South Korea of AIM-9X air-to-air missiles
The US government has authorised a potential sale to South Korea of AIM-9X air-to-air missiles and related equipment, the US State Department has said, noting that the proposed sale will help enhance the Asian ally's air defence capabilities.
The United States has approved the possible sale of AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles and related equipment to South Korea. The purchase, worth up to $125 million, could further bolster Seoul's air warfare capabilities in the face of a military threat from North Korea.
