An urban planning blogger and activist in the city of Chelyabinsk has abandoned his campaign for the local city council a week after injuring his spine while jumping from a second-floor window to escape from police officers.
Urbanist Michael Popov, who ran for deputy of the Chelyabinian City Duma, decided not to continue the campaign a week ago, July 13, Popov, when the police came to his house, jumped from the second floor and broke his spine.
