Wind advisory affecting New York Monday and Tuesday — gusts could peak at 50 mph

A wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 12:59 p.m. valid from Monday 1 p.m. until Tuesday 7 p.m. for Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware and Sullivan counties.The weather service comments, “West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

Update: Wind advisory for Crawford County for Monday and Tuesday – winds gusting up to 55 mph

On Sunday at 1:54 a.m. the National Weather Service released an updated wind advisory valid from Monday 4 a.m. until Tuesday 1 a.m. for Crawford County.The weather service says, "West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected."
