A wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 12:59 p.m. valid from Monday 1 p.m. until Tuesday 7 p.m. for Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware and Sullivan counties.The weather service comments, “West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
