UPDATED: Section of Barnet Boulevard in Renfrew reopened after OPP investigation

Barnet Boulevard was reopened and the police presence was cleared at approximately 2 p.m. on Nov. 19.

UPDATE: Police presence cleared on Barnet Boulevard

The police blockade on Barnet Blvd. has reopened amidst an ongoing investigation. OPP media relations said Renfrew OPP received a call shortly before noon about a disturbance and as a precaution police cordoned off the area. Police said the matter was resolved just before 2 p.m., there is no threat to public safety, but the investigation remains ongoing.
