Up to 350 FIFA World Cup tickets will be available to B.C. children, teens
Organizations can apply for 10 tickets each as BC Place’s Community Benefit Program uses a draw to distribute them to youth.
- On Thursday, the province, the City of Vancouver, and Pavilion Corporation announced up to 350 tickets for two FIFA World Cup matches available to children and teens facing barriers through the Place Community Benefit Program.
- Premier David Eby alluded to the ticket initiative on Tuesday during a tour of the Place, building on the program's 2025 success of donating more than 2,500 tickets to organizations.
- Non-Profit organizations and Indigenous groups supporting youth facing barriers can apply for 10 tickets each, with PavCo coordinating online applications from Thursday, May 14, through Friday, May 22.
- Ticket allocation will be determined through a draw, with successful organizations notified beginning June 2; tickets must be distributed directly to youth and cannot be sold for fundraising purposes.
- Hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup is an unprecedented opportunity, Anne Kang, minister of tourism, arts, culture and sport, said, while Jessie Adcock, Vancouver host city committee lead, noted sport transcends communities.
