College GameDay Moving Indoors for Alabama-Georgia Amid Hurricane Isaias
College GameDay will air inside Coleman Coliseum, with no overnight camping and a clear-bag policy as the university braces for severe weather.
On Saturday, ESPN's College GameDay will broadcast live from inside Coleman Coliseum rather than its traditional outdoor set due to severe weather from Hurricane Isaias threatening Tuscaloosa.
Hurricane Isaias, upgraded to a Category 3 storm Friday, threatens Central Alabama with potentially damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and possible tornadoes, forcing the pregame show indoors for fan safety.
Fans may begin lining up at the north and east doors of Coleman Coliseum at 5:15 a.m., with doors opening at 5:30 a.m. and a strict clear bag policy in effect.
While the Alabama-Georgia football game remains scheduled at Bryant-Denny Stadium, the university canceled pregame traditions including activities on the Quad and the Elephant Stomp to mitigate storm risks.
University of Alabama officials continue monitoring the storm system, warning that additional changes to game-day operations may occur if conditions warrant, and urge fans to check official channels for real-time updates.
