UNI volleyball team topped a scrappy Air Force squad in the opening match of the 2026 South Dakota Classic at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

Falcons Fall to Northern Iowa in Tournament Opener

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Air Force volleyball team opened the South Dakota Classic with a 3-1 neutral site loss to Northern Iowa this afternoon (Sept. 3) at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion.  After winning the opening set 25-23, the Falcons fell 20-25, 17-25, 22-25 to move to 1-2 on the short season.
