GENEVA, Sept 24: Gaza’s economy has entered the world’s “most severe crisis on record,” with recovery and reconstruction needs reaching US$71.5 billion amid widespread destruction of productive capacity, Anadolu Ajansi reported, citing a UN report.
UNCTAD has stated that the Palestinian economy is under severe pressure. According to the report, 92% of businesses in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed, and the need for reconstruction has reached $71.5 billion.
