Is Vine Coming Back? Here's What to Know
Rabble’s app has about 100,000 users and offers a detailed algorithm explanation, multiple feeds and a ban on AI-generated posts.
Divine officially launched last week, featuring a scrolling feed of six-second, looping videos and an archive of more than 2 million original Vine posts.
Former Twitter employee Rabble created Divine with backing from Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, reviving the format of Vine, which Twitter acquired for $30 million in 2012.
Using decentralized infrastructure similar to Mastodon and Bluesky, Divine employs detection methods to block AI-generated content that Rabble says creates "mediocrity."
With around 100,000 users, the platform secured its first brand partnership with Taco Bell this week while offering algorithm-driven feeds focused on animals, style, and popular videos.
Tapping into digital nostalgia, Divine joins other platforms attempting revivals; MySpace owners recently announced plans to restore their site in a documentary.
