UK pest control company at risk of closing after 3 years as it enters administration
Kevin Mapstone of BTG Begbies Traynor was appointed administrator after a winding-up petition sought to have the company wound up by the court.
LPPC Environmental Ltd, trading as Pest Control Aberdeenshire, has entered administration after three years in business, maintaining offices in Aberdeen and Bolton.
A petition presented to the Aberdeen Sheriff Court in March requested the company be "wound up by the Court and to appoint a liquidator," according to The Gazette.
Following the court's administration order on May 8, Kevin Mapstone of BTG Begbies Traynor was appointed administrator on June 5 to oversee the wind-down process.
The closure reflects a difficult year for the UK retail sector, with fashion retailers Leading Labels and Quiz also entering liquidation recently.
Despite widespread closures, the UK high street is seeing new store openings in 2026, with major brands including Aldi and Superdrug actively expanding.
