The UK Space Agency (UKSA) will cease to operate as an independent body in a bid to cut administrative costs, the British government announced today (20/08). The agency will be integrated into the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) in April 2026. According to the British government, this merger will reduce costs, eliminate duplication of responsibilities and ensure direct oversight by the relevant ministers.
