UH Maui College's Culinary Arts Program is marking its 50th anniversary this fall with a lineup of student-cooked dinners and its largest annual fundraiser, the Noble Chef Gala, set for November 13 at the program's own Pāʻina Building in Kahului. The gala will honor the late Chef Tylun Pang of the Fairmont Kea Lani, whose decades of mentorship helped shape generations of Maui cooks before his death in 2022.
