UAB basketball powers past South Alabama, 80-72
KyeRon Lindsay-Martin in the first half and Jacob Meyer in the second half were too much for South Alabama on Friday night. Lindsay-Martin scored all 11 of his points prior to the break and Meyer scored 17 of his 24 in the last 20 minutes as UAB powered past its previously unbeaten in-state opponent at Bartow Arena. The Blazers (4-2) outrebounded the Jaguars 42-29, and made 11 3-pointers to just six for the visitors.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB men's basketball (4-2) defeated in-state foe, South Alabama, 80-72 on Friday in Bartow Arena. Five Blazers scored in double figures as Jacob Meyer paced UAB with six made three-pointers, leading to 24 points. Chance Westry kept the ball moving, as he recorded a double-double on 10 points and a career high 11 assists. With his 10 points, Westry extended his streak of scoring in double figures in every game this season.
