The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) reported this Friday that it dismantled two plantations with more than 5,300 suspected marijuana units, thousands of them in the process of germination and arrested a woman during an operation carried out in the mountainous areas of the La Barranca community, Azua province.

The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD), together with the Public Prosecutor's Office and with the support of special teams from the National Police, the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD) and the Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD), dismantled two sowings of alleged marijuana in mountainous areas of Azua province, where 5,364 plants were occupied and another 5,520 in the process of germination.
