Two people injured after small plane malfunctions, ends up in ditch: RCMP
RCMP said the pilot aborted takeoff after a malfunction, and the 61-year-old man and 54-year-old woman were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

- The 61-year-old pilot attempted to abort the takeoff after mechanical failure, but the aircraft drove off the runway's end. "The pilot aborted the take-off and attempted to bring the aircraft to a safe stop, but it drove off the end of the runway and went into the ditch," the report said.
- Emergency responders, including RCMP officers, paramedics, and firefighters, arrived at the scene and transported the pilot and his 54-year-old passenger to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
- The Transportation Safety Board was notified of the incident, which occurred about 70 km west of Winnipeg, according to an RCMP news release issued Tuesday.
