LAFAYETTE PARISH, LOUISIANA, JUN 19 – No arrests have been made and the motive remains unknown as Lafayette Police continue their investigation at the Super One Foods parking lot, police said.
- Bartlett Police arrested a Walmart employee without incident Thursday afternoon following a shooting at the store on Highway 64.
- The gunfire erupted following a dispute between two coworkers, though it remains unclear whether it occurred inside or outside the store.
- Officers arrived approximately 20 minutes after reports of four to five gunshots and discovered two adult men who had been injured by the shooting.
- Captain Jeremy Springer confirmed that the suspect acted independently, and the injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.
- Police secured the scene, confirmed no ongoing public threat, and urged anyone with information to contact Lafayette Crime Stoppers anonymously.
