Turkey's Bank Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) revoked the license to operate from the Istanbul branch of Iran's Bank Melat.
Following Treasury and Finance Minister Şimşek's statement that they "have taken note" of the US sanctions and his message of "full compliance," the license of Bank Mellat, an Iranian bank that had been operating in Turkey for 44 years, was revoked. Additionally, Golden Global, which was also included in the sanctions list, was transferred to the TMSF (Turkish Savings Deposit Insurance Fund).
