A popular Gardner restaurant is closed after a kitchen fire on Thursday afternoon. Firefighters from Johnson County Fire District No. 1 and Olathe were called to the Tumbleweed Grill & Bar, 615 East Main Street, in Gardner, at 4:07 p.m. Captain Matt Gillotti, public information officer for Fire District No. 1, said firefighters responded to a reported kitchen fire.
