- Seeking to offset potential United States withdrawal, the committee urged London to "develop a clear plan, along with other European allies, for a transition towards greater European leadership of NATO."
- Labour MP Matt Western warned that Britain should pursue stronger relationships with "middle powers" such as Canada to protect national interests, noting the UK-US partnership will outlast individual leaders.
