Trump unveils new commemorative passports featuring his image
The limited-edition document will be issued only at one Washington passport agency and includes 25,000 to 30,000 copies, officials said.
President Donald Trump unveiled the official rendering of a limited-edition U.S. passport on Friday, which prominently features his own likeness to celebrate the nation's upcoming 250th anniversary of independence.
The "Patriot Passport" design showcases a stern-faced portrait of Trump seated at his desk with his signature rendered in gold below, all superimposed over the text of the Declaration of Independence.
The document makes Trump the first sitting president to be featured inside U.S. passports, with the opposite page displaying John Trumbull’s classic 1819 painting of the founding fathers alongside the inscription "United States of America 250."
Trump shared the design on Truth Social with a blunt warning to travelers, captioning the mock-up: "The U.S.A.'s New Passport, which says, 'Welcome, but be good!'"
