The application of tariffs to export to the United States continues to wreak havoc in the Mexican automotive industry, particularly in the segment of compact and luxury cars.From January to April, car exports grew 4.7%, according to figures from the Mexican Association of Automotive Industry (AMIA).
In the industry, about 56,000 jobs were lost in the manufacture of units and auto parts, according to Inegi data.
