According to the Okinawa Meteorological Observatory, a tropical depression formed in the South China Sea at 9 p.m. on the 3rd. It is unlikely to develop into a typhoon. As of 3 p.m. on the 4th, it is moving northeast at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour in the South China Sea southwest of Taiwan and is expected to approach the Sakishima Islands around the 5th or 6th.
