- Engaging the terrorists in a fierce firefight, troops forced them to flee; Media Information Officer Lt-Col Aliyu Danja reported one civilian died and two others sustained gunshot wounds during the attack.
- Evacuated to the General Hospital, Kaura Namoda, the two wounded civilians are currently receiving medical treatment following the successful rescue of all 48 victims.
- Commending the troops for their professionalism, the Theatre Command urged residents to provide timely information to security agencies to sustain momentum in ridding the North West of terrorists.
