- Representing Governor Peter Mbah at the DSS state headquarters on Monday, Secretary to the State Government Prof. Chidiebere Onyia paraded the suspects and confirmed that ransom money deployed as strategy was fully recovered using hi-tech security assets.
- The government vowed that criminals will face the full wrath of the law, stating "You can't commit these crimes in Enugu and get away with it" while emphasizing investment in robust security architecture across the state.
