Trilingual 'O Canada' to be sung at Blue Jays game
Sgt. Chantal Larocque aims to create a more inclusive game experience by singing 'O Canada' in English, French, and Algonquin at Rogers Centre for a Toronto Blue Jays game.
Including Indigenous languages in the national anthem consistently would support year-round reconciliation efforts in Canada, instead of just once per year.
The hope is that this initiative will pave the way for more sporting venues to incorporate performances of 'O Canada' in Indigenous languages, promoting inclusivity across the country.
