Two serious mountain accidents occurred on Saturday at Traunstein (Gmunden district). As she descended over the Mair-Alm-Steig, a 44-year-old woman stumbled from the Salzburger Flachgau and crashed a good 20 metres above rocky terrain. Then she managed to hold onto a branch and stop the fall. Her husband alerted the rescue forces and provided first aid. The 44-year-old was rescued by an emergency helicopter and flown to the hospital.
