The Vertical Corridor extends to the Western Balkans. Serbia and North Macedonia have officially entered the initiative, by signing a new Memorandum of Understanding, Friday, in Thessaloniki, within the Energy Forum of South-Eastern Europe.
An important step towards expanding regional energy cooperation was taken today with the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the companies participating in the Ka-K initiative.
SNTGN Transgaz S.A. informed Bucharest Stock Exchange that today, 4 September 2026, in Thessaloniki (Greece), was signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the extension of the Vertical Corridor and the inclusion of new members, respectively transport operators and natural gas system in Serbia (Transportgas Serbia LLV) and Northern Macedonia (NOMAGAS JSC Skopje), marking a new era in the expansion of the Vertical Corridor to the Western Balkans.
DESFA announced the signing of a new MoU for the Vertical Corridor initiative, welcoming NOMAGAS of North Macedonia and Transportgas Serbia, thus expanding cooperation in the Western Balkans.
