Passengers will have to pay extra fares for travelling by train in the eastern part of the railway from now on. The decision to increase the fares will come into effect from today, Saturday. This marks at least five increases in fares in the last 13 years. Sometimes directly, sometimes strategically, the railway authorities have increased the ticket prices.
